Choice Programs
Anne Chesnutt Middle School offers a variety of choices to help enhance your child's education. Our school and staff support the following opportunities of choice:
Spanish Language Immersion Program- Students who have completed the K-5 Language Immersion Program from a CCS elementary school can continue the Language Immersion Program at the Middle School level (grades 6-8). Students will broaden skills in cultural awareness and global knowledge while continuing to learn academic content in Spanish. Students will also strengthen their Spanish language skills.
World Language Focus- Students have the opportunity to learn Arabic and Mandarin Chinese in elective classes. Both programs build speaking, writing, and cultural understanding as students progress through the program of their choice.
Year-Round Schedule- Students receive continuous instruction during the year. The school calendar starts in July and follows a nine-week period of instruction followed by a two to three week period of intersession. The intersession time may be used for enrichment activities or vacations. The Year-Round calendar provides an environment of continuous teaching and learning that strengthens critical thinking, creativeness, abilities, and communication skills.
