ACMS Robotic Team Logo

Congrats to our Hornets Isaiah Howard who placed 3rd in the category of Engineering and Aziza Matos who placed 4th in the category of Chemistry at the North Carolina Regional Science Fair held on Saturday, February 18th on the campus of UNC-Pembroke.  An enormous Hornet Buzz goes to the following students who were selected to participate in the North Carolina Regional Science Fair: Arrieanna Burns Williams, Nyla Badillo, Aaliyah Wilson, Aziza Matos, Isaiah Howard & Walter Reeves.
Not only were these future scientists chosen based on their topic and creativity, but each of them exhibited understanding how the scientific method is used to test a hypothesis, accumulate & analyze data, and articulate a clear conclusion of how their project could advance science. Thank you Hornets for committing to this project and your participation. You have exceptionally represented ACMS in an outstanding way.

Fueling Our Schools took place Friday, October 21st, at The Kangaroo Express located at 2001 Skibo Rd at the intersection of Cliffdale Rd.  Anne Chesnutt partnered with Circle K in an effort to raise funds for the school and to promote community/business relationships.  Several representatives from the school and community came to fuel their vehicles in an effort to raise money for ACMS. Circle K donated 10 cents for every gallon of fuel purchased from 4 – 8 p.m. that night.  Circle K also gave away $50 gift cards to customers that entered in the drawing.  The Fueling Our Schools Program has been extended and Circle K is donating 1 cent for every gallon purchased at the specially marked pumps 3 & 4, in an effort to help ACMS raise $2,000. Please show your continued support for ACMS and purchase your gas at pumps 3 & 4 the Kangaroo Express located at 2001 Skibo Rd.
